Job Overview:
The main function of a supply chain planner is to work with the inventory management team to drive inventory optimization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Examine documents, materials, and products, and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformation to standards and specifications
- Review data such as demand, inventory, build orders, incoming orders, long term agreements, etc. to determine the impact on supply chain cost
- Accurate reporting of Inventory values and metrics to drive supply chain improvements
- Manage identification, tracking, and mitigation of Excess and Obsolete inventory across the supply chain
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5-7 years of related experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze inventory across the supply chain and associated metrics
- Ability to do L3/L4 level detailed process documentation
- Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
- Knowledge of managing excess and obsolete inventory
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
